Starting in December, Autonapůl is introducing important updates designed to make our services more convenient and user-friendly. A key improvement, one that many of you will appreciate, is the option to pay by card for your trips. We’re happy to accommodate your needs and make our services easier to use.
Card payments for faster, easier billing
In response to your feedback, we’re launching a new payment option that will simplify and speed up the billing process. Beginning in December, you can choose to pay by card. Just enter your card details once, and we’ll handle the rest automatically.
The ability to enter your card into the app will be made available gradually from 1 December 2024. Would you like to be among the first? Email us at autonapul@autonapul.cz.
How card payment works
- Card setup – Simply enter your card information in the mobile app Autonapůl (Android / iOS). This will activate card billing for future trips.
2. Pre-authorization 24 hours before the trip – Before your reservation begins, your bank will hold the estimated trip amount, giving you peace of mind that everything will go smoothly.
3. Final billing after the trip ends – Once your reservation ends, the pre-authorized amount will be adjusted based on your rental time and real distance traveled. We’ll only charge you for the exact cost of the trip (any surplus from the pre-authorization will be refunded).
4. You will receive two notifications in your email when your booking is completed:
- Confirmation of the amount charged.
- A confirmation of the deposit.
New cost calculator in the app
If you’d like to know the estimated cost before your trip, you can use our new calculator directly in the Autonapůl app. Simply enter your trip details, and the calculator will estimate the cost. The billed amount will then adjust based on the reservation length and real kilometers driven. We prioritize clarity and cost control, so you can keep track of your expenses with confidence.
Traditional billing by invoice or direct debit remain
For those who prefer the original payment methods, don’t worry. The option to pay by monthly invoice or direct debit will remain. Monthly invoices are ideal if you like managing your trips once a month, with a clear overview of expenses. Direct debit also ensures hassle-free invoice payments without needing to double-check each month. Just set a suitable limit to stay covered.

Business customers: No change needed
For business clients, billing will remain the same, with monthly invoices ensuring easy tracking and seamless accounting. We classify any user who provides a VAT ID as a business customer.
If you use Autonapůl for both personal and business trips and prefer card payment for personal trips, that’s an option too. Simply enter your card details in the app, and remember to check the “business trip” box for work trips. Personal trips will be billed immediately to your card, while business trips will be invoiced as usual.
If you would still prefer to have card payments as the primary option for your business, simply enter your card information into the app.
