Autonapul is ending. What this means and what comes next

For more than twenty years, we’ve been showing together that not everyone needs to own a car. That it makes sense to share one, when needed, without hassle, and with consideration for the city and its surroundings.
Autonapul was never just about cars. It was a service built on trust, fairness, and a practical approach to mobility.

Now, however, the time has come for our shared journey to come to an end. 💔

Why Autonapul is ending

The decision to end the service did not come overnight. For a long time, we have been looking for ways to keep operations financially stable while preserving what matters most to us - fair conditions for you and for the cities where we operate. However, the reality of recent years has brought a combination of factors that proved too strong:

• rising costs of operating and maintaining vehicles
• changes in the mobility market
• pricing pressure that went against long-term sustainability

We tried adjusting pricing, optimizing operations, and taking other steps. They helped, but not enough. That is why the general meeting decided to discontinue the service and proceed with the liquidation of the cooperative.

How the closure will work

The service is available until April 10, 2026.

Until then, you can use the cars under the current pricing. However, all trips must be completed no later than this date.

After March 31, 2026, it will no longer be possible to create new reservations.

Reservations scheduled after April 10 will be automatically canceled.

What instead of Autonapul

We understand that for many of you, shared cars have been a normal part of everyday life and that you will be looking for an alternative. In Brno, you can use the Brněnská Šárka carsharing service. In Prague, for example, Car4Way. Each service works a bit differently, but the principle remains the same: having a car available only when you really need it.

Thank you for being part of it

Autonapul worked for more than twenty years thanks to people who believed that not everyone needs to own a car. Thanks to you, we were able to show that carsharing can be practical, fair, and more considerate towards cities. Thank you for all the trips, experiences, and support you have given Autonapul over the years. We are sorry that we will not continue this journey together.
