At Autonapůl, we are constantly working to make our services as user-friendly as possible, while also adapting to current needs and legal requirements. As part of these efforts, we’ve updated our General Business Conditions (GBC) to better reflect recent changes and the needs of our car sharers.
What’s changing and why?
Here’s an overview of the main updates to the GBC. All of the core principles guiding Autonapůl’s services remain intact.
1. New legal requirements
We want to ensure compliance with current laws, not only for our own legal protection but, more importantly, for your protection as our users. The new terms primarily reflect changes related to consumer protection laws. This means that the GBC now include a more detailed description of rights and responsibilities for both you and us, ensuring compliance with current legislation and a clear definition of both parties' rights and obligations.
2. Introduction of card payments
One of the most significant changes is the introduction of payment by card for your reservation. This option allows you to pay for your trips more conveniently, eliminating the need for traditional transfers or other payment methods. This update simplifies the payment process and provides greater flexibility. However, you can still choose to pay by monthly invoice or direct debit.
3. Removal of outdated processes
To streamline our services, we’ve decided to remove certain procedures that are no longer in use. This includes, for example, the email conference, tariff system in the Price list, and the trip logbook. These concepts often caused confusion for new users. We believe these changes will lead to a clearer and more straightforward service experience.
4. Clarification on damage liability procedures
We have clarified the procedures in cases where a vehicle may be damaged by the user. The updated GBC provide a clearer explanation of how such situations will be managed. The new terms describe in detail our approach to handling damage claims and outline your obligations if you’re found responsible for any damages. Our goal is to ensure fair and transparent conditions for all users.
5. Online framework agreement signing
In line with modern trends, we’ve updated the terms for signing framework agreements remotely, i.e., signing the agreement online. This update makes it easier and faster to sign up, without needing a personal meeting or document signing.
6. Issuance of chip cards only on request
We now only issue a chip card to users upon request rather than automatically. With the mobile app (Android / iOS), it is no longer necessary to have a chip card to access our car-sharing service. However, if you still prefer using a card, you can request one easily.
This step helps reduce the number of unused cards, which is both economically and environmentally friendly.
7. Terminology clarification and standardization
To help you navigate our terms more easily, we have standardized and clarified the terminology used throughout the GBC text.
What do these changes mean for you?
All of these changes were designed to make using our services easier and more transparent. Card payments simplify the payment process, online agreement signing speeds up registration, and terminology standardization ensures clearer communication. Our goal is for you to always understand how our service works and what you can expect.
Acceptance of these new terms does not require any further action from you. Of course, you have the option to decline the proposed changes to the Autonapůl GBC. By accessing or using our services after the effective date of these contractual changes, you automatically express your acceptance of the new terms. If you have any questions or need more information about the new GBC, feel free to contact our Helpline. We’re here to help and happy to clarify everything.
Thank you for being with us, and we look forward to many more journeys together with Autonapůl.
