As part of the changes taking effect on December 1, 2024, the pricing structure will be simplified, and additional services will be more closely tied to trips. With this new pricing approach, we aim to further support the main goals we set twenty years ago when we established the first car-sharing service in the country: to lend a hand to those who don’t want to overcrowd urban spaces with their own cars. This includes the introduction of a new tier with cheaper mileage rates and adjustments to current prices. Read on to find out what exactly is changing.
Simplifying car categories from six to four
Autonapůl's fleet is quite diverse, which we consider a key advantage of our service - you can select the exact type of car you need. However, maintaining six separate pricing categories, including a separate category for electric vehicles, has been challenging. Now, electric cars will be included alongside their combustion and hybrid counterparts.
The new categories will be:
- Economy
- Standard
- Comfort
- Grand
The following categories will be eliminated:
- Electro
- Tesla
Škoda CitigoE iV and Renault Zoe will now be placed in the lowest-cost Economy category, while the Tesla Model 3 will move to the Grand category.
Reducing costs for higher-mileage trips
For popular long-distance holiday trips, we’re introducing a new, lower-priced tier for mileage exceeding 500 kilometers, which will be the cheapest tier within each vehicle category. The new rates will be charged as follows:
- 1-200 kilometers
- 201-500 kilometers and
- over 500 kilometers.
Introducing a booking charge fee
Based on data about how our cars are used, we know the proportion of short and long trips. We’re pleased that our vehicles serve you, our members, but we also want to avoid replacing other forms of urban transport and to promote car usage that helps reduce congestion.
Therefore, we’re eliminating the weekend-specific starting fee and introducing a booking charge fee for every reservation. Note that any initiated reservation (even if the car isn’t used at the reservation’s start time) will be charged.
The booking charge fee will be equal to the hourly rate for the vehicle on the first day of rental. For example, if you use the car for just half an hour, you’ll be charged as if it was used for an hour and a half.
Jistota Plus as insurance for each trip
From December 1, 2024, the flat-rate payment for Jistota Plus insurance (details in a separate article) will be replaced by a per-trip fee. This fee will be equal to the hourly reservation rate for the booked vehicle, regardless of the reservation length or mileage. This model better reflects how individual users utilize the vehicles.
Changes to pricing for reservation duration and mileage
The updated pricing structure reflects rising costs and inflation over the last two years, including the cost of vehicles, servicing, and other expenses related to operating shared cars. On average, this means a 25% increase in reservation duration fees and a 15% increase in mileage rates for the first 500 kilometers. Complete Price List is available for download HERE.
You will also be able to calculate an estimated trip cost when reserving a car with the in-app calculator, which will go live on December 1. The calculator that you’re familiar with on our website will also remain active, and the new rates are already reflected there.
Sample trips

We also indicate how much the same trip would cost under the previous pricing structure:
Two-day business trip or weekend trip
You reserve a Standard category car for 34-48 hours and travel a total of 220 kilometers.
Under the new pricing structure, you would pay:
Booking charge fee: 95 CZK + 950 CZK for Day 1 + 850 CZK for Day 2 + 1700 CZK for the first 200 km (8.5 CZK/km * 200 km) + 160 CZK for the remaining 20 km (8 CZK/km * 20 km) = 3755 CZK (If you have Jistota Plus insurance, add an additional 95 CZK.)
Under the previous pricing structure, this trip would have cost 3027 CZK.
Nine-day holiday
You leave on Friday afternoon and return the following Sunday afternoon, traveling to the sea or the Alps and taking a few trips in the area. You use a Comfort category car for 216 hours and cover 1500 km.
Under the new pricing structure, you would pay:
Booking charge fee: 119 CZK + 1190 CZK for Day 1 + 2 * 990 CZK for Days 2 and 3 + 6 * 890 CZK for Days 4-9 + 1800 CZK for the first 200 km (9 CZK/km * 200 km) + 2550 CZK for 200-500 km (8.5 CZK/km * 300 km) + 8450 CZK for 500+ km (6.5 CZK/km * 1000 km) = 19479 CZK (If you have Jistota Plus insurance, add an additional 119 CZK.)
Under the previous pricing structure, this trip would have cost 17985 CZK.
Short urban trip
For example, taking a relative to the doctor or going on a large shopping trip. You use an Economy car, complete the trip in 3 hours, and drive a total of 20 km.
Under the new pricing structure, you would pay:
Booking charge fee: 75 CZK + 75 CZK/hour * 3 hours + 8 CZK/km * 20 km = 460 CZK (If you have Jistota Plus insurance, add an additional 75 CZK.)
Under the previous pricing structure, this trip would have cost 316 CZK.
