Careful where you park
Traditionally, block cleaning of the streets takes place in spring and autumn. We recommend that you follow the traffic signs. Block clearing is always accompanied by local traffic and parking regulations with portable traffic signs installed at least 7 days in advance. These are portable no stopping signs that indicate the date and time of the cleaning.
Where street cleaning dates are listed
Information about block cleaning can be found on city and city districts websites, as well as from service providers.

Watch out for the car being towed
The rules for street cleaning are regulated by legislation §19a, §19b of Act No. 13/1997 Coll., on Roads, as amended. According to §19b (1), failure to comply with the markings may lead to the towing of the vehicle. As a rule, two variants occur:
- Vehicles will be towed and parked in another suitable location (on a side street, transfer or towing area), from where they will be returned to the same location from where they were removed, called a reverse tow.
- The vehicles are simply loaded onto the tow trucks and returned directly from the tow truck after cleaning, a so-called technical operation.
In Brno, for example, the price for the technical act of towing back on the spot is set at CZK 1,500 incl. VAT.
Shared car parking
In the case of carsharing Autonapůl, don't rely on someone else having a reservation after you, they can cancel at any time. If there's a sign in the parking space warning of block cleaning, don't leave your car there at all. This will prevent you from dealing with fines. It is the responsibility of the car user to ensure that the car is parked correctly after the reservation has ended.
At the time when the block cleaning of the streets is not taking place, don't forget that you have preferential parking in the city centres not only in Prague and Brno as a car-sharing user.
