First of all, we would like to present the positive development of the economic results of the first Czech carsharing service Autonapůl and at the same time offer you the opportunity to participate in the development of the growth service. Autonapůl now operates in eight cities in the Czech Republic and operates between eighty and one hundred shared cars - depending on the season - for its thousands of regular customers. We have overcome the difficult pandemic period and the chaotic period associated with the energy crisis and are getting ready for further development.
First, a brief economic assessment of the last few years
According to the preliminary results, Autonapůl will report a profit for 2022 - slightly higher than in 2021. We have thus passed another stress test, when, after the Covid years, fuel and new vehicle prices skyrocketed in the first half of 2022. We responded immediately to the situation with reasonable prices adjustment and thus maintained our positive balance sheet.
However, many other companies in the transport and other sectors have taken the same step. It is clear that the Czech economy and therefore our customers are under financial pressure. Currently, this is reflected in a slight decline in our monthly utilization. On the other hand, the situation on the market of second hand vehicle is good news for us - the ongoing renewal of our fleet is doing better than expected in money terms. The number of customers also continues to grow thanks to continuous improvements in the registration and acquisition process. Despite the current fluctuations, the trend at the beginning of 2023 suggests a continued decline in fuel prices - another good news.
What we are planning and how far we are so far
Following a slowdown in the sale of our older vehicles in 2020 and 2021 due to the lack of new vehicles on the market, we have carried out a planned major fleet renewal and changed the pro-customer pricing category structure last year. We have de facto moved the quality of the vehicles on offer up by "half a category".
In the cheapest category, we have acquired the well-equipped Dacia Sandero LPG, and in the Comfort category we have included the comfortable Toyota Corolla Combi hybrid. Not forgetting the experiential Tesla Model 3, which is successively touring all service-covered cities this year in an unconventional roadshow. Fifteen Hyundai i30 Combis are currently in the process of being categorized as Standard - with five more to be added to the fleet, plus two larger Renault Trafic vans that are in high demand, especially in the summer season.
In addition to the multimillion-crowns investment in the vehicles, we have already replaced the carsharing communication technology in almost half of the fleet. The modern INVERS units significantly improve the user experience: they speed up vehicle unlocking, are more accurate in reporting vehicle location and have a lower error rate. We will gradually equip all vehicles with this technology. To give you an idea, one INVERS unit, including installation, costs just over €1,000.
How you can contribute to further development
We offer the possibility to participate in the financing of the development of Autonapůl. We handle investments in the form of a standard loan agreement (according to the Civil Code). The minimum loan amount is CZK 50,000. Due to inflation, we have increased the offered basic interest rate to 7 % p.a. In this case, the loan is for two years with annuity repayment. We also offer a more favorable option of 7.5 % p.a. with a 12-month principal deferment, or 8 % p.a. with full repayment of the principal after two years. For longer-term loans of four to five years, we offer interest rates of 5-6% per annum. We are ready to negotiate other loan repayment options.
We repay the loan from the proceeds of all vehicles in operation, not just those newly acquired. Combined with the interest income, you will also have the option of using Autonapůl's carsharing services with a 5 % discount in the first year of investment.
