Carsharing Autonapůl is not only for the public and companies, but we also have a special offer for municipalities or development projects. In cooperation with NOHO, we have launched an exclusive offer for residents of the Cihlovka sustainable complex - car sharing right under the windows and access to dozens of cars in eight cities in the Czech Republic as part of the registration process.
Why? Because sustainability doesn't just stop at building passive houses. It's about how we live every day. The goal is to reduce our carbon footprint, even in personal transportation. Did you know that there are more than 6.5 million cars in the country? With carsharing, we can reduce that number.
"Our goal is to show the neighbourhood that if we really want to make a difference for the planet, it doesn't end with building a passive house. The sustainable building practices and technologies we use are important, but equally important is how we use these technologies and how we behave in everyday life. That's why we wanted to go one step further and introduce residents to another way in which to reduce their personal carbon footprint. For example, many households nowadays have two cars and once they start using carsharing services, they realise that it is not necessary," explains Tomáš Vrbický, founder of NOHO.
Currently, there are more than 6.5 million registered cars in the Czech Republic and their number is constantly increasing, thus accounting for more than 0.5 cars per capita (Association of Car Importers, 2023).
NOHO, sustainable construction expert
NOHO is a family-owned development company from Hradec Králové, building on the values of sustainability, sustainable development and innovation. It was founded in 2016 by Tomáš Vrbický and his father. The company has developed 100 housing units. The most famous projects include Cihlovka 1 and Cihlovka 2 in the Kukleny district of Hradec Kralove. Within Cihlovka 2, the first passive apartment building in Hradec Králové has now been completed. Cihlovka will be seamlessly followed by the Neighbourhood project, currently under construction, comprising 150 residential units - the project aims to be the first carbon-neutral location under operation in the Czech Republic. It is a redevelopment of a large brownfield site. Proof that the authors are headed in the right direction are the several awards that Cihlovka has received - these include awards in the Building of the Year competition of the Hradec Králové Region or Real Estate Project of the Year of the Hradec Králové Region.
