As we promised, we are delivering: the renewal of the Autonapul car-sharing in Brno is underway and you can already find brand-new, Czech-made Hyundais i30 Combi in the "flower" (peripheral) zones C, D, F and G. You won't miss them in their red coats.
What can you look forward to?
The Hyundais have an 88kW turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Most importantly, significantly better equipment, led by touchscreen radio with wireless charging and Android Auto/Apple Carplay phone mirroring, cruise control, parking sensors with camera, automatic climate control and lights, heated seats and steering wheel, and a rear seat long-item tray.
Compared to the Fabia, the Hyundai i30 also offers a significantly roomier interior and boot, making it deserving of its Standard price category (i.e. similar to the Rapids or Megans).
For easier differentiation on the street, the Hyundais will prospectively be complemented by subtle stickers along the lines of recent Toyotas.
Changes in the Brno peripheral zones
The Hyundai i30 Charles will serve in Zone C (Lesná/Cerná Pole), the Cletus in Zone D soon (Líšeň/Vinohrady/Židenice), the Carl in Zone F - South (Černovice/Komárov) and the Rainier in Zone G (Komín/Bystrc/Jundrov).
Be careful, the grey Fabia Combi Greystash will newly reinforce the largest zone Brno - A from the 1st February, like its younger "brother", Fabia Matt. Please watch out for the zone change when the Greystash is parked.
